Flex Mexico seeks an experienced Buyer Direct to coordinate procurement of direct materials, components, and equipment to support production. Based in Flex North, you will manage supplier relationships, handle critical parts, and create detailed shipment reports.

The role requires a completed degree, 5+ years in procurement, ERP proficiency, and advanced English. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of components at agreed costs within an on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Completed degree required.
• 5+ years of procurement experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data management.
• Advanced English.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to present information clearly to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships.
• Customer contact.
• Handle critical parts.
• Create detailed reports (shipments).
• Follow up of critical components with suppliers and customers.
• Place orders for raw materials and components based on production requirements.
• Receive and manage order confirmations.
• Review and adjust purchase orders according to production changes.
• Track shipments and expedite when required.
• Monitor inventory weekly to avoid overstock.
• Reduce obsolescence through regular review of obsolete reports.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses; arrange transportation when needed.
• Handle supplier claims, debit/credit issues.
• Maintain purchasing documentation and records.
• Monitor critical material inventory and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure timely availability of components at agreed cost.
• Review requisitions and MRP outputs.
• Communicate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and availability.
• Manage orders (create, reschedule, cancel) per MRP demand.
• Maintain procurement data: costs, deliveries, and inventory.
• Ensure supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery); escalation when needed.
• Approve invoices for payment.
• Analyze inventory levels and material flow through production.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews.
• Track procurement metrics and reports.
