Flextronics - The Flex Company is seeking a Buyer Direct based in Mexico to procure direct materials, components, and equipment. You will support production by ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory, and monitoring supplier performance.

You will maintain strong supplier relationships, manage purchase orders per MRP, review orders, and expedite shipments to prevent shortages, while collaborating with logistics teams to keep material flow smooth.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and inventory management processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of purchasing, supplier management, inventory control, and logistics processes.
• English Advanced and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Maintain effective relationships with suppliers on delivery, quality, and pricing.
• Place, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders based on production requirements and MRP output.
• Review and manage order confirmations, purchase orders, and production plan changes.
• Track material shipments and expedite deliveries to avoid shortages.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or obsolescence.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, warehouses, and logistics providers.
• Manage supplier claims, debit/credit issues, invoicing and RTV processes.
• Maintain procurement records, reports, and purchasing documentation.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier information including pricing, availability, and lead times.
• Monitor material movement through production and support continuity of supply.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and escalate issues when required.
