Job summary

AthenaWorks LLC is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage a multi-region Kubernetes platform, enabling scalable deployments for global client projects.

You will work closely with engineering to deliver reliable, automated infrastructure, monitor health, and implement security-conscious improvements. This role includes participating in 24/7 support shifts and driving adoption of IaC with Terraform.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure, ideally in AWS.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Strong scripting skills (bash and Python).
• Security-focused with aim to minimize attack surfaces and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multi-region Kubernetes platform handling billions of requests per month.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy, maintain, and monitor applications on our platform.
• Monitor infrastructure health and diagnose root causes of errors and alerts.
• Identify new technologies or techniques to improve reliability and automate rote tasks.
• Provide support for day-to-day infrastructure needs.
• Participate in 24/7 support shifts.
