Persistent is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to help build and scale production-grade data platforms for a Healthcare & Life Sciences project.

You'll work with Kafka, Flink, SQL, CDC, and cloud technologies to design streaming pipelines, ensure data quality, and support downstream analytics in a hybrid Mexico-based environment. If you are passionate about real-time data platforms, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience building production-grade streaming pipelines.
• Hands-on with distributed streaming platforms (Kafka and Flink/Spark).
• Experience with SQL and schema design across relational sources.
• Experience deploying streaming workloads on container orchestration platforms.
• Knowledge of change data capture (CDC) on streaming systems.
• Ability to work independently on roadmap items.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data ingest to a distributed streaming platform.
• Onboard new data domains and mapping.
• Build and run stream-processing jobs in the cloud.
• Deploy and troubleshoot streaming workloads on containers.
• Collaborate with downstream teams on data contracts.
