AgileEngine, LLC is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to build secure, scalable data platform capabilities and automate data governance controls for enterprise applications.

You will design and implement data pipelines, metadata, lineage, and access controls, working with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Spark-based technologies while applying CI/CD practices. Mentorship and collaboration with governance teams are expected.

Competenze

• Bachelor-level or higher in CS/Data/Software Eng or related STEM.
• 5+ years software/data engineering experience or equivalent.
• 5+ years with Python, SQL, distributed processing, data modeling, modern data engineering frameworks.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, data catalogs, metadata, lineage, data quality, access controls.
• Databricks, Unity Catalog, Data Lake, Apache Spark or comparable.
• CI/CD, automated testing, environment separation, production deployment.
• Experience building secure APIs, MCP servers, or tools for enterprise/AI-enabled apps.
• Enterprise identity, RBAC, service accounts, secrets, least-privilege security.

ABOUT THE ROLE

MUST HAVES

• Bachelor's in CS/Data Engineering/Software Engineering/related STEM (or Bachelor's + Master's/higher in STEM)
• 5+ years software/data engineering experience (or equivalent demonstrated skill)
• 5+ years with Python, SQL, distributed processing, data modeling, modern data engineering frameworks
• Strong experience with cloud data platforms, data catalogs, metadata, lineage, data quality, access controls
• Databricks, Unity Catalog, Data Lake, Apache Spark, or comparable
• CI/CD, automated testing, environment separation, production deployment
• Experience building secure APIs, MCP servers, or tools for enterprise/AI-enabled apps
• Enterprise identity, RBAC, service accounts, secrets, least-privilege security

NICE TO HAVES

• GitLab CI/CD or comparable
• Policy-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, configuration-driven platforms
