AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer in Puebla, MX to design secure, scalable data platforms and governance automation. You will implement metadata, lineage, and data quality controls while building enterprise APIs and integrations for AI-enabled applications.

• 5+ years of software or data engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL with distributed processing and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, catalogs, lineage, and data quality.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Unity Catalog, Data Lake, Spark or equivalents.
• Experience building secure APIs and enterprise-grade tools.
• Experience with RBAC and least-privilege security.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to build secure, scalable data platform capabilities and automate data governance controls.

MUST HAVES

• Bachelor's in CS/Data Engineering/Software Engineering/related STEM (or Bachelor's + Master's/higher in STEM)
• 5+ years software/data engineering experience (or equivalent demonstrated skill)
• 5+ years with Python, SQL, distributed processing, data modeling, modern data engineering frameworks
• Strong experience with cloud data platforms, data catalogs, metadata, lineage, data quality, access controls
• Databricks, Unity Catalog, Data Lake, Apache Spark, or comparable
• CI/CD, automated testing, environment separation, production deployment
• Experience building secure APIs, MCP servers, or tools for enterprise/AI-enabled apps
• Enterprise identity, RBAC, service accounts, secrets, least-privilege security
