Here’s what you need to know about this position:
Lead the design and evolution of the full data stack from ingestion to consumption, ensuring systems remain scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs.
Collaborate closely with Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams to build data solutions that deliver actionable insights for both customers and internal stakeholders.
Set and promote high standards for data quality, security, and governance throughout the organization, including metadata-driven practices.
Own the technical architecture and daily operations of data pipelines, data warehouses, and self-service analytics platforms, mentoring team members and guiding technical decisions.
Create tools that bring transparency to company-wide business outcomes and improve data accessibility for internal teams and external reporting.
Manage cloud data technologies, preferably on AWS (S3, Redshift, RDS), along with orchestration and transformation tools; familiarity with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
Drive metric standardization, champion data engineering best practices, and support enterprise data architecture and dimensional modeling.
This role is hybrid, based in Mexico City. Candidates must either already reside in CDMX or be willing to relocate (we offer relocation packages to support the move).
7+ years of hands-on experience designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures, including real-time streaming and performance tuning.
Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling (relational and dimensional), and data warehouse management, especially with Snowflake.
Experience with transformation and orchestration tools like dbt, Airflow, Prefect, Airbyte, and Kafka, as well as ELT/ETL workflows.
Solid knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS (S3, Redshift, RDS). Bonus points for Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and enterprise data architecture experience.
Proficiency in Python programming, Unix/Linux scripting, and working with APIs; experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Sisense.
Strong experience collaborating with Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams, with excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
