Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. seeks a Senior Data Engineer for a part-time advisory role to review AWS architecture, CI/CD, and data pipelines of a media analytics platform. You will mentor the engineering team and guide governance throughout SDLC, while evaluating AI-assisted development workflows and MLOps considerations.

The role emphasizes strong communication, hands-on AWS depth, and a pragmatic stance on ETL design. Flexible remote/office options support Flextime.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on AWS experience including ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS, S3, IAM.
• Fluency with Terraform IaC and CI/CD governance.
• Experience designing or auditing SDLC governance and schema/version control.
• Strong depth in ETL/ingestion architectures and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted/LLM workflows from an engineering and cost perspective.
• Ability to mentor engineers in a part-time advisory role.

Responsibilities

• Audit current AWS architecture across live applications and MLOps pipelines.
• Review CI/CD processes and end-to-end SDLC governance.
• Evaluate Claude Code usage for PRs, reviews, and cost management.
• Provide early opinions on ETL/data-ingestion architecture (managed vs custom).
• Mentor infrastructure teams with AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and data engineering best practices.
• Set recommendations and technical direction for required build changes.
• Present findings and risk readiness to leadership.
