Bluelight Consulting, Llc is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, Snowflake, and Azure-based services. You will build scalable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes across REST APIs, databases, and cloud storage.

You'll collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to model data, ensure governance and security, and optimize Snowflake workloads while supporting production environments and documentation.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines extracting/transforming/loading data from REST APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and flat files.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience with virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, and performance optimization.
• Advanced SQL development, complex queries, performance tuning for large workloads.
• Experience with dimensional modeling (star schemas, fact/dimension tables).
• Familiarity with Azure cloud data services and Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; capable of collaboration in fast-paced settings.
• Certifications: SnowPro, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience with Big Data, BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), and Agile/DevOps practices.

Responsabilidades

• Utilize Snowflake architecture to design, build, and optimize cloud data solutions.
• Manage Snowflake objects and leverage features like time travel and auto-suspend for cost efficiency.
• Apply dimensional modeling to build scalable data warehouses.
• Ingest data from REST APIs, relational databases, SaaS apps, flat files, and cloud storage.
• Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to align data models with business goals.
• Establish and enforce data engineering standards, governance, and security practices.
• Monitor pipelines and SQL performance; maintain documentation for pipelines and data models.
