Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and datasets across manufacturing environments. You will enable analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.

You will lead projects, mentor teammates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data reliability and scalability while leveraging cloud platforms and modern data tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years in Data Engineering or related data-focused role.
• 2+ years hands-on Python in production pipelines.
• Strong Spark, PySpark, SparkSQL experience.
• Advanced SQL, data modeling, RDBMS/Data Lake/LW environments.
• Experience with manufacturing/industrial data.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); AWS preferred.
• Proven track record leading technical projects and communicating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop production-ready datasets to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML apps.
• Implement data-quality checks, monitoring, and observability.
• Lead delivery of complex Data Engineering projects from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams, analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and best practices.
