Formación

  • 8+ years of manufacturing or cost accounting experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle and advanced MS Office skills.

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Cost Accountant to support multiple manufacturing sites in the USA with collecting data, allocating costs, and preparing reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly, or other operating expenses, ensuring established procedures are followed. In this position, you will also prepare journal entries, maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, as well as prepare financial statements and variance reports as requested. You may be required to do ad hoc analysis and prepare special reports for management.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Completing Monthly Purchase Price Variance analysis and resulting capitalization and amortization entries for multiple factories.
  • Preparing and publishing weekly and monthly operations reports covering Inventory, Labor Hours earned, and various types of manufacturing costs (e.g., Scrap, Manufacturing Variances, Warranty).
  • Completing costing of new products.
  • Preparing and ensuring accuracy of standard cost of sales, variances, scrap and other recurring journal entries detailing cost of sales and inventory.
  • Reporting on asset utilization, cycle count accuracy, and completeness.
  • Participating in annual budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple facilities as requested by Ops and/or BU Finance staffs.
  • Performing other duties as required.
  • Preparing and analyzing monthly and quarterly operating expense forecasts, using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) tool.

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Eight or more years of manufacturing or cost accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Business Objects and Hyperion Financial Management are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluently bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Proven ability to thrive in a team environment with tight deadlines.
  • Fast learner who is highly analytical, execution-focused, and delivers upon commitment.
