Job summary

FORVIA HELLA is seeking a Senior Concept Design Engineer in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. You will lead innovative concept development for automotive products, create and optimize 3D CAD models and detailed designs, and collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to define requirements and drive design decisions.

The role requires strong English communication and experience in automotive design, with DFMEA, validation processes, and quality tools knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive product design and development, preferably with plastic or electromechanical components.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools and engineering drawings, including GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, validation processes, quality tools and automotive product development methodologies.
• Advanced communication in English and ability to collaborate in an international, multidisciplinary environment.

• Create and optimize 3D CAD models, technical documentation and detailed designs throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Perform engineering analyses including tolerance studies, DFMEA activities and design validations to ensure robust product performance.
• Support prototype builds, testing activities and continuous improvement initiatives by integrating test results into product designs.
