Elsevier Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native healthcare software. You will work across cloud architectures, mentor engineers, and influence engineering practices while delivering reliable, high-performance systems.

Formación

• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React) proficiency.
• Deep experience with microservices architectures.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• AWS cloud services (ECS/Fargate, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS).
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar.
• Observability with New Relic/OpenTelemetry/Grafana.
• Event-driven architectures (Kafka).
• AI-assisted development tool usage is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Refine and finalize requirements for complex software solutions.
• Write and review detailed specifications for system components.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and services.
• Troubleshoot complex bugs to ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Promote coding standards, reviews, and best practices.
• Work in Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Model complex data for performance and scalability.
• Resolve issues across distributed systems and cloud environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their growth.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Drive continuous improvement in architecture and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
