Elsevier Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications powering health solutions. You will mentor engineers, promote best practices, and advance tech standards across distributed systems.

You will work across AWS-based microservices, Kubernetes, and modern development frameworks, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment to deliver high-quality healthcare software.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React).
• Deep experience with microservices architectures and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with AWS services, including ECS/Fargate, EKS, S3, Lambda, and RDS, and with Terraform.
• Strong understanding of API gateway technologies, OA uth/JWT, and observability tools.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Interface with technical personnel to refine requirements for complex software solutions.
• Write and review detailed specifications for development of system components.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and services.
• Troubleshoot complex bug fixes ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Promote development processes, coding standards, and code reviews.
• Operate in Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
