ALTEN Mexico is seeking an experienced CFD Analyst to contribute to the development of an Iron Air Battery project. You will perform flow and heat-transfer simulations, support scrubber systems, piping, and altitude/cold-weather assessments, and iterate designs based on results.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in CFD/thermal-fluids, strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, and hands-on experience with ANSYS Fluent or STAR-CCM+. Collaboration across teams is essential for success.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 5+ years of CFD or thermal-fluids analysis experience.
• Hands‑on experience with CFD software such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or equivalent.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and numerical methods.
• Mesh generation, turbulence modeling, boundary‑condition definition, convergence assessment, and result verification.
• Flow balancing for ducts, baffles, vessels, piping, fittings, scrubber systems, pumps, and heaters.

Responsabilidades

• Develop CFD models for scrubber vessel concepts, integrated ducting, outlet filtration, piping, fittings, and baffles.
• Assess flow rate, pressure drop, flowback risk, thermal impacts, and distribution uniformity.
• Support altitude and cold-weather design assessments using available requirements and test results.
• Perform design iterations and recommend geometry or component changes.
• Document model setup, assumptions, mesh independence, results, risks, and validation needs.
