Job summary

Ford Mexico seeks a senior simulation leader to drive CAE/CFD across vehicle programs, using Matlab, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE, and Siemens platforms to build and optimize finite element models against standardized loads. You will develop reusable scripts and establish traceable model connectivity between CAD, PLM, and CAE tools, influencing weight, durability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or related field (PhD a plus).
• 15+ years in CAE, FEA/FEM and simulation-driven design/testing within automotive or similar industry.
• Proven expertise in tools such as Dassault 3DX, Siemens platforms, Altair Hyperworks/Optistruct, LS-Dyna, ANSYS, MATLAB, ModeFRONTIER.
• Demonstrated experience developing custom scripts, macros or proprietary simulation methods.
• Strong communication skills to bridge technical and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Simulation Technical Authority for Generative AI and MDAO in simulation workflows.
• Perform Advanced CAE/CFD analysis to meet NVH, vehicle dynamics, and durability KPIs.
• Develop proprietary algorithms and data-translation methods across datasets and solvers.
• Create reusable scripts and automation pipelines for global rollout of simulation processes.
• Manage model configurations and ensure traceability between CAD, PLM, and CAE/CFD tools.
• Conduct system optimization and trade studies using MDO tools to inform design choices.
• Support Mechatronics Simulation needs for the Mechatronic Systems team.
• Validate that system requirements are supported by simulation data.
• Create virtual models bridging 3D CAD and CAE for clear communication.
