Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. is seeking a hands-on senior software engineer to own core platform components and drive architectural decisions within a Windows-based, multi-site environment.

You will ship high-quality software, tackle complex system issues, and influence scalability and observability practices across teams. The role emphasizes concrete engineering ownership, collaboration with QA and product partners, and a strong track record in debugging and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Software Development experience building and debugging production systems in Windows development and deployment platforms.
• Strong proficiency in C++, VC++, C#, Messaging Systems, multi-threaded programming within Windows environments.
• Experience working with relational databases, ideally MS SQL Server.
• Solid understanding of Windows internals and Windows development technologies.
• Experience using modern developer tooling (e.g., Copilot) to improve productivity and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, own and maintain core platform components from implementation through deployment, diagnostics, and long-term evolution.
• Write and review high-quality C++/C# code with emphasis on correctness, performance, and maintainability.
• Contribute to technical design and architectural discussions to improve scalability, resiliency, performance and developer productivity.
• Tackle hard system failures including concurrency issues, performance degradation, data consistency problems, and integration failures across services and devices.
• Establish patterns and best practices for testing, observability, and debuggability in complex systems.
• Collaborate with other engineers, QA and product partners in an Agile, multi-site development environment.
• Communicate technical complexity clearly, providing pragmatic estimates, design tradeoffs, and progress updates when needed.
