Formación

  • 3+ years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement.
  • Fluent in English.

What Will You Do?

Ensure the best Quality, Cost, and Delivery Conditions to supply Sheet Metal (K3 category) and Steel raw materials (A1 category) to several plants within the North America Region. Aligned with the Corporate Strategy, you are responsible for implementing the best terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve the team and Purchasing Department's targets sustainably, including Yearly Productivities, Suppliers Quality, and Delivery performances.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure operational relationships with allocated suppliers and promote sustainable competition within the supplier panel.
  2. Manage Requests for Quotations and select offers consistent with the commodity strategy.
  3. Lead concentration plans on targeted suppliers for Schneider Electric while managing business risks.
  4. Implement the supplier strategy on targeted suppliers for Schneider Electric, ensuring risk mitigation.
  5. Participate in yearly negotiations with other Departments.
  6. Identify and implement technical productivities (QVE), supplier changes (COS) with relevant stakeholders (Business Unit, Material Productivity Leaders, Suppliers).
  7. If acting as SSL (Schneider Supplier Leader), lead global initiatives such as negotiations, Should Cost approaches, and Lean initiatives for assigned suppliers.
  8. Contribute to updates of the purchasing database/tools by providing necessary information to commodity managers, supplier leaders, and purchasing assistants.
  9. Serve as the first escalation point for supplier crisis management.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management or Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement.
  • Fluent in English.

  • Purchasing skills (Cost, Supplier Management, Cost analysis, Market analysis, Tools...)
  • Understanding of legal aspects, risk analysis, and contract setting.
  • Financial knowledge, especially Excel skills.

  • Knowledge of quality and supply chain management.
