Travel Partnerships and Media helps partners, including hotels, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs), and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply, our leading advertising and travel media network, and affiliate solutions.

The Senior Business Development role is part of the Media Solutions team within Travel Partnerships and Media at Expedia Group. We at Expedia Group Media Solutions offer marketers access to the world's travel advertising platform, powered by the industry’s most robust first-party data. Our team equips advertising partners with everything needed to connect, engage, and convert travelers worldwide, exceeding their key metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute consultative sales strategies to grow Media Solutions business.
  • Identify key opportunities in the Lodging sector and promote Expedia as an advertising partner of choice.
  • Create, define, and implement business strategies to optimize partner relationships at local, regional, or global levels.
  • Lead end-to-end advertising sales processes, from prospecting to closing, including understanding partner needs and strategic selling.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with partners through up-selling and cross-selling.
  • Navigate senior management and organizational politics to achieve positive decisions.
  • Lead campaign launches and collaborate internally to ensure campaign delivery and resolve issues.
  • Drive results and define strategies to improve revenue contribution through measurement and ROI analysis.
  • Manage deal development, prospecting, sourcing, negotiating, and closing opportunities.
  • Forecast media revenue demand based on market research, industry insights, and partner engagement.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in media sales within the travel industry.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven media sales experience and a passion for the travel industry.
  • Strong understanding of travel verticals and digital/social media landscape.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent pitch and influence skills at C-level management.
  • Ability to analyze partner needs and develop creative solutions.
  • Travel required (valid passport necessary).
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese preferred.
