Job summary

Bluelight, a leading software consultancy, seeks a Business Analyst to convert client problems into clear requirements. You’ll bridge clients, product teams, and engineers, run discovery, map processes, and write user stories with acceptance criteria to ensure the solution meets the goal.

Remote-friendly role across client builds, maintenance engagements, and internal products. Strong English, Jira, and Figma experience are essential; exposure to SOC 2 or compliance topics is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Business Analyst/related roles on software projects.
• Proven ability to run discovery sessions and turn ambiguous input into structured requirements.
• Comfort with process mapping and data modeling at a business level.
• Comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, databases, and system constraints with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops with clients and internal teams to understand goals, workflows, and pain points.
• Document current-state and future-state processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
• Support new-project sizing by breaking scope into epics and stories for engineering estimation.
• Write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria in Jira.
• Partner with the Product Manager to prioritize and groom the backlog.
• Coordinate with UI/UX design in Figma to ensure flows match requirements.
