Citi in Mexico is seeking a Senior Software Application Developer to design, build, and implement backend systems using Python, Apache Spark, and SQL. You will join a team actively delivering projects and help shape technical standards while mentoring junior developers.

This role offers hybrid work with three days in the office and two remote, opportunities to work with global teams, and exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, PyCharm, and API integrations, while ensuring

Formación

• 5 to 8 years of experience in systems analysis and software development.
• Proficiency in Python with hands‑on experience in big data technologies such as Apache Spark and PyCharm.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database management.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot.
• Experience managing technology projects with practical knowledge of PM methods.
• Advanced English proficiency for global collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Build and implement backend systems with Citi technology teams from feasibility through estimates.
• Lead full development lifecycle including analysis, design, build, testing, and implementation with operational support.
• Apply backend development expertise to analyze problems and evaluate business processes.
• Design security enhancements based on post-implementation reviews.
• Advise users, clients, and tech teams on technical challenges and solutions.
• Define technical standards and operating procedures for development practices.
• Mentor junior developers and analysts across the team.
• Evaluate risk and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
