Job summary

EDAG Group in Puebla, MX, seeks a Senior CAD Designer to lead complex automotive development projects. You will create parametric 3D data, develop interior trim concepts, and produce 2D drawings with GD&T for plastics and sheet metal. The role includes mentoring junior engineers and presenting proposals to clients.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years in automotive development, fluency in English, and experience from concept to tooling kickoff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in automotive or related engineering field.
10+ years in automotive development.
Knowledge in doors, console and IP for Interior Trim.
Advanced knowledge of DFMEA, DFA, DFM, GD&T.
Experience with plastic and metal parts.
International experience desirable.
Experience from concept to tooling kickoff.
Fluent English.
German A2 desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate complex projects with clients.
Develop and build parametric 3D data autonomously per construction standards and improve efficiency.
Develop concepts sections per construction guidelines.
Propose complex engineering solutions for plastics or sheet metal.
Create 2D drawings applying GD&T and manufacturing processes.
Train and mentor team members with less experience.
Communicate with the client about problems, proposals and risks.
