The ideal candidate holds a JD Degree and is licensed to practice in Mexico. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and fluency in English, with responsibilities including managing contracts and collaborating with global teams. Your role and responsibilities

  • Senior lawyer with at least 15 years of legal experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel preferably in a multinational company.
  • JD Degree, licensed to practice in Mexico. LLM or master degree desirable.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in commercial law, international commercial contracts and general civil and corporate law (obligaciones, contratos, societario, transactional general). Experience in technology related contracts desirable but it is not a must.
  • Strong background and knowledge on corporate law.
  • Experience in contracting with government entities and public procurement law also desirable.
  • 100% fluent in English with excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills. Excellent analytical skills and decision-making ability.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and listening skills, including ability to explain legal concepts in a clear, simple and compelling manner to local and global teams.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving - Ability to spot and assess legal risks, resolving issues effectively.
  • Highly collaborative and proactive person, with the ability to prioritize and to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and business enabler attitude, should be able to work and integrate with local and global cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility as well as the ability to work effectively in global cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong standards of integrity and business ethics; able to build trust with others by acting consistently with organizational expectations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment and with different subject matters and stakeholders at the same time.

Required technical and professional expertise
