Overview
Execute delivery and logistics activities for inbound and outbound containers (liners), ensuring on-time shipment from plants/warehouses and on-time delivery. The position will be responsible for day-to-day SAP transactions, resolving transportation delays, equipment challenges, or other issues impacting delivery to internal or external customers.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all load and shipment processes with local plant/warehouse/terminal personnel, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Proactively monitor open orders and deliveries to avoid issues and resolve them promptly to mitigate negative impacts.
- Serve as the key transactional contact for customers, third-party logistics providers, and freight forwarders.
- Ensure adherence to operational escalation processes when encountering delays, managing exceptions and emergencies.
- Assist in resolving freight invoice discrepancies.
- Document, investigate, and follow up on internal and external complaints.
- Recommend process improvements, investigate quality failures, and develop preventive and corrective actions.
- Maintain relationships with business, sales, supply chain planning, logistics procurement, and product management teams.
- Generate regular operational and KPI reports, share findings, and suggest improvements.
- Meet or exceed monthly KPI metrics and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, International Trade, Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in Logistics Operations, Export/Import.
- Fluent in English; Spanish and Portuguese are advantageous.
- Knowledge of SAP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Customer-focused mindset, drive for results, and strong decision-making skills.
- Effective time management, troubleshooting, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment, adaptable to change, and stress-resistant.
