About The Role

Provide factory support at UTEC by managing sourcing activities, including RFQs, material shortages, purchase order creation, and supplier coordination. Ensure smooth transitions and responsiveness to demand changes and planning forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, Commodity Management & Sourcing, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Support RFQ processes and expedite materials.
  • Create purchase orders to meet the plant's raw material needs.
  • Reschedule purchase orders according to changes in the plant to ensure efficient inventory levels.
  • Ensure suppliers meet the delivery times established in purchase orders (OTD) and develop action plans for suppliers who do not meet the required metrics.
  • Analyze and implement inventory reduction strategies and optimization tools (E&O, material coverage).
  • Negotiate with suppliers regarding delivery times and quantities of raw materials.
  • Follow up on engineering projects to ensure successful implementation.
  • Ensure timely payment to suppliers by reviewing purchase orders and working with accounts payable.
  • Comply with corporate programs.
  • Supervise one unionized expeditor working across three shifts.
  • Manage part numbers and understand the flow of lines, times, and issues in engineering and manufacturing areas.

As a Minimum You Must Have

1+ years of experience in electronics or automotive sectors, specifically in purchasing, logistics, or sourcing.

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or related fields (LNI, LRI, or similar)
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
  • Proficiency in:
    • Engineering drawing interpretation (Windchill, AVL)
    • End-to-end purchasing processes
    • Microsoft Office (Intermediate level)
  • Preferred: SAP, Power BI, Lean DNA
