We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Analyst Pricing.

Role Purpose:

The role involves owning and managing enterprise reference data maintenance for various asset classes, including Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives & FX Business (Pricing). Responsibilities also include managing market data feeds from third-party vendors, updating internal data tasks, and supporting external and internal data on HSBC systems for these products.

The Data Ops Pricing team will handle tasks such as input, amendment, and maintenance of product and rate data sourced from external applications like Bloomberg and Reuters, updating relevant product applications accordingly.

The staff will maintain Instrument Reference data, support BAU processes, understand system impacts, develop controls, investigate queries, and ensure productivity and quality to maximize customer satisfaction.

Main Activities:

  • Ensure all work is delivered on time and meets high-quality standards.
  • Provide high-quality, customer-driven service ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.
  • Process customer instructions accurately, adhering to quality standards.
  • Identify and escalate fraud, errors, or irregular transactions promptly.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and standards issued by HSBC and relevant authorities.
  • Be aware of operational risks and ensure actions consider these risks.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards and address audit and regulator issues timely.
  • Update knowledge on procedures and complete work within timeframes.
  • Manage pricing data for various investment products.
  • Verify the validity and accuracy of data records.
  • Escalate and track vendor issues to resolution.
  • Act as a single point of contact for data-related information across teams.
  • Analyze projects comprehensively from vendor to consumer.
  • Drive change and process improvements.
  • Stay updated on market and regulatory impacts.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement controls.
  • Manage vendor issues efficiently.
  • Review and communicate procedural changes and new initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Complete EUC assessments in EIM on time.

  • Balance tasks, team, and individual contributions to motivate staff.

  • Implement compliance policies and address operational risks proactively.

Internal Controls:

  • Ensure timely implementation of audit points and regulatory issues.
  • Be aware of operational risks and ensure actions mitigate these risks during employment.
