Job summary

JLL is hiring Senior Software Engineers to own how our internal AI platform supports teams building on it. You will tackle complex production issues across identity, networking, and model APIs, and drive platform improvements in observability, tooling and documentation.

The role focuses on diagnosing failures, shipping features on the platform backlog, and reducing incident load while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across the firm. On-site in Jalisco, MX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production systems.
• Strong debugging across distributed systems: trace failures across identity, network, API and runtime boundaries.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud, including IAM, networking and secrets management in production.
• Hands-on experience building or operating an MCP server or a production agent, and a solid understanding of LLM applications: model APIs, tool calling, agent frameworks.
• Experience supporting other engineering teams as users of your work, with patience and clarity.
• A bias toward removing whole classes of problems rather than resolving them one at a time.
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Own the support queue: triage, resolve and elevate requests from teams across the firm, and see each one through to resolution.
• Debug across the full path of an agent in production: identity and token lifecycle, gateway calls, MCP servers, agent runtimes, networking, secrets, deployment.
• Reproduce what a team is seeing, identify the real cause, and fix it or drive the fix.
• Coordinate during incidents: involve application owners, inform stakeholders, and keep engineers focused on the fix.
• Consolidate channels into one clear path with triage and escalation model.
• Create runbooks, diagnostics and self-service tools to reduce recurring issues.
• Write integration guides, reference implementations and starter templates used by teams.
• Hunt undocumented limits, misleading errors and missing guardrails and fix them at the source.
• Help consuming applications move onto the gateway as migration progresses.
• Ship platform features and share production ownership with the team.
• Build a team with global reach across the Americas, EMEA and APAC.
