UP.Labs is building an agentic system as the core delivery mechanism for a venture, seeking a production agent-systems engineer to own and grow the function end-to-end. You will design architecture across internal data/AI agents and external surfaces, and lead a team as we scale.

You will design, build, and deploy production LLM agents that take consequential action with human-in-the-loop controls, including tool interfaces, tiered access, approval gates, and rollback.

Formación

• 5+ years shipping production software.
• Proven track record building and shipping LLM agents to production with real users.
• Experience building eval harnesses for agentic systems.
• Experience owning a retrieval system in production.
• Experience shipping agents that take consequential real-world action.
• Track record leading an agentic initiative or team end-to-end.

Responsabilidades

• Own and grow the agentic function end-to-end across internal and external surfaces; decide build-vs-buy and lead a growing team.
• Design, build, and deploy production LLM agents that take actions with human-in-the-loop controls; include tool interfaces, tiered access, gates, and rollback.
• Build and maintain eval harnesses for agentic systems with offline/online evaluation, guardrails, and observability.
• Own context and retrieval engineering to reduce hallucination via quality retrieval and grounding.
• Implement graph-based knowledge and retrieval systems (GraphRAG, property graphs, ontologies) to ground agents.
• Partner with applied science and the data/ML function on pipelines, embeddings, and vector stores; no ML training ownership.
• Communicate architecture, trade-offs, and roadmap to execs and investors; write production code and lead the function's direction.
