Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites seeks a seasoned engineer to advance aerospace composite manufacturing processes in a high-precision environment. You will develop materials, processes, tooling, and equipment while leading product introductions from development to production.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in engineering or manufacturing, aerospace composites experience (prepreg layup, RTM/VARTM, autoclave processing), and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Aerospace or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience in aerospace composite manufacturing processes (prepreg layup, RTM/VARTM, autoclave processing, or composite finishing).
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, GD&T, CAD software, process qualification, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Conversational English proficiency (B2 minimum).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and implement composite materials, manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) and support the transition from development to production.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.
• Lead technical investigations, process qualifications, corrective actions, and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements, project schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and support manufacturing excellence initiatives.
