Job Responsibilities:

• Process and data entry of all activities related to Accounts Payable
• Financial reporting for the area of responsibility

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, this position involves:

• Reviewing and verifying Mexico invoices for compliance with local requirements
• Processing data related to Mexico vendor invoices into the AP system
• Monitoring and resolving invoice discrepancies
• Preparing supplier payments promptly via checks or electronic transfers
• Ensuring proper record keeping and filing of all vendor invoices
• Generating and entering journal entries related to AP transactions
• Preparing account analyses and monthly closing activities
• Preparing internal and external financial and statistical reports
• Supporting projects such as forecasts, audits, and SOX controls
• Ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures
• Adhering to J&J and EES records management policies
• Communicating business issues or opportunities to management
• If supervising staff, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent in Accounting Technician
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

Skills and Knowledge:

• Technical competence in accounting and general ledger (preferred)
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable activities and Mexican fiscal requirements (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Accuracy, thoroughness, and integrity
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
• Knowledge of GMP/ISO standards (preferred)
• Proficiency in Windows-based software
