Job summary

FedEx Group is seeking an intermediate to senior accounting professional to perform a range of accounting duties in the Mexico City area. The role involves expanding scope toward regional, divisional, and corporate levels while maintaining compliance with accounting policies and timely tax reporting.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, 4 years of accounting experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• Fluent in English.
• Four years accounting experience.
• Local professional certification if required.
• Two years' experience as an Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, norms, rules, and practices.
• Ensures proper administration of local statutory reporting, tax accounting requirements, and the filing of tax returns on a timely basis.
• Administers relationships with tax authorities, payroll service bureau, auditors, and other related agencies.
• Ensures that internal control of accounting systems is in place and maintained in order to safeguard the company assets and avoid liabilities.
• Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations of moderate complexity.
• Prepares cash receipts, disbursement journals, and accruals monthly.
• Prepares monthly cash flow forecasts and ensures that sufficient funds are always available to meet the company's liabilities.
• Maintains Miami Accounting and Country Manager updated on accounting related activities by submitting required reports and keeping them informed on issues and changes in related laws and regulations.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
