Job summary

FedEx is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the Record to Report (R2R) process, financial reporting, and statutory compliance in Latin America. The role is based at Torre Diana, Mexico City, with a hybrid work arrangement and collaboration with local and regional teams and auditors.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in R2R or related accounting, strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3-5 years of relevant R2R/financial reporting experience.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month/year-end close.
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and audit requests.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Advanced to fluent English; strong written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end R2R processes including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements for local statutory and corporate reporting.
• Coordinate audit requests and liaise with auditors.
• Prepare audit schedules and documentation; perform accounting tests.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Apply US GAAP and/or IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Support internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with regional teams across LAC and communicate accounting matters in English.
