Job summary

LRQA is seeking a Security Consultant to join our cybersecurity team. You will deliver penetration testing across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments, working with clients through the engagement lifecycle and providing expert technical insight, high-quality reporting, and trusted security advice.

You will mentor Associate Security Consultants, lead small to medium-sized security projects, and stay ahead of evolving threats with strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in IT security.
• Experience performing security engagements: web/app security testing, infrastructure testing, cloud security assessments (AWS/Azure).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently within a high-performing team.
• Professional certifications such as CREST CRT, OSCP, or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months of relevant IT security experience within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Manage full lifecycle of security engagements, including kick-off, testing, reporting, and debrief sessions.
• Produce high-quality technical reports with findings and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain consultative client relationships.
• Mentor Associate Security Consultants and provide guidance.

About The Role

LRQA is seeking a Security Consultant to join our growing cybersecurity team. In this role, you will deliver a range of security engagements with a primary focus on penetration testing across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. You will work closely with clients throughout the engagement lifecycle, providing expert technical insight, high-quality reporting, and trusted security advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration testing and related security assessment activities across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Manage the full lifecycle of security engagements, including kick-off meetings, testing activities, reporting, and client debrief sessions.
• Produce thorough, high-quality technical reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain strong, consultative relationships with clients.
• Mentor Associate Security Consultants and provide guidance when required.
• Lead small to medium-sized security projects.
• Provide technical analysis and commentary on current cybersecurity events and emerging threats when requested.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in IT security.
• Experience performing security engagements involving:
  • Web and application security testing
  • Infrastructure security testing
  • Cloud security assessments (AWS and/or Azure)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a high-performing team.
• Professional certification such as:
  • CREST CRT
  • OSCP
  • Or an equivalent cybersecurity certification
• Minimum of 12 months of relevant IT security industry experience within the last 2 years.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with container security and containerized environments.
