A global technology leader in Mexico is seeking a professional for a dual role as Scrum Master and Data Engineer. You will spend approximately 50% of your time facilitating Scrum ceremonies and the other 50% executing data engineering tasks. Join a dynamic team delivering enterprise data solutions where you will spend ~50% of your time as Scrum Master and ~50% as a Data Engineer, with priority on Scrum Master responsibilities. You will enable agile delivery, unblock the team, and contribute hands-on to data pipelines and Azure cloud operations. This role is remote-friendly and offers the chance to grow within Capgemini Engineering

YOUR ROLE:

You will spend ~50% of your time as Scrum Master and ~50% as a Data Engineer:

• Lead Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in Azure DevOps and prepare weekly management updates.
• Act as liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders and support product owner activities.
• Monitor project timelines, team capacity and effort estimates; identify risks and remove impediments.
• Operate and troubleshoot data workloads: monitor Databricks jobs and ADF pipelines, review monitoring reports and create PBIs for fixes.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Strong Scrum and agile experience with proven success running software delivery teams and PI planning.
• Hands-on data engineering skills: Python, Spark, ETL/ELT concepts, and experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure services.
• Proficient in writing clear user stories, managing PBIs in Azure DevOps, and estimating team effort.
• Excellent communication in English (Spanish a plus) and ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
• Problem-solving focus on system maintenance, monitoring, and producing actionable backlog items.

Nice to have

• Agile/Scrum or PMP certification and background in AI or data science.
