ASFG is hiring a Teacher Assistant to support students and teachers within the classroom. The role focuses on promoting a positive learning environment, assisting in lesson planning aligned with the curriculum and state standards, and supporting instruction for individual students or small groups.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, with a preference for prior elementary teaching exposure.

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required.
• Previous teaching experience in elementary education is preferred but not required for entry-level positions.
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to use technology to enhance instruction.

• Provide student support and engagement, guiding individual students or small groups academically and behaviorally.
• Assist with large group activities and maintain classroom organization and discipline.
• Communicate with teachers and parents, directing concerns appropriately while maintaining confidentiality.
• Serve as substitute teacher following established routines when the teacher is absent.
• Perform other essential functions such as punctuality, engagement, initiative, and adaptability.
