ITMC Systems, Inc. seeks a Scala Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable big data applications powering billing and transactional systems. The role emphasizes Spark-based data processing, backend services, and modern web platforms that drive critical business operations.

You will build RESTful APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams using Angular, and optimize distributed systems for performance and reliability in a production environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Scala.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and big data processing frameworks.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of web-based, client-server application architecture.
• Experience with Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
• Background supporting high-volume billing, transactional, or financial systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Kafka, distributed systems, or cloud-based data platforms.
• Media, advertising, or large-scale enterprise platform experience.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop scalable applications using Scala and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Build and maintain solutions supporting billing, transaction processing, and data-driven business workflows.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and client-server applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver web-based solutions leveraging Angular front-end components.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed systems.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.
