Duration: long-termLocation: Remote-based, preferably in Mexico or near shore in Latin America, with occasional travel to Mexico CityMission:As a Finance Data Migration Expert, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of a global ERP transformation program (SAP S/4 HANA) within the life sciences industry. This role focuses on the successful migration of Finance data in line with global, regional, and country-specific requirements.
You will collaborate with business and IT teams, act as a subject matter expert for SAP Finance data objects, and ensure readiness, quality, and compliance of critical financial data throughout multiple testing cycles and into production.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as the functional single point of contact (SPoC) for data migration activities related to Finance data objects.
- Coordinate data cleansing, value mapping, verification, and approvals across data objects such as GL, AP/AR, Assets, WBS, P&L, and Internal Orders.
- Collaborate with IT teams to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from legacy systems.
- Drive execution of Mock Data Loads (Mock 1-3) and final Production Load, ensuring milestones are met.
- Validate data integrity and perform dual maintenance and manual loads when required.
- Ensure data is fit-for-purpose and meets business expectations across deployment phases.
- Track and resolve defects related to data quality and ensure proper documentation of outcomes.
- Liaise with country business owners to ensure alignment, readiness, and sign-off on migrated data.
Key Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP project implementations focused on Finance data migration.
- Previous experience in global and regional ERP rollouts, ideally in regulated industries.
- Strong background in Latin America projects is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
Deep functional expertise in SAP FI/CO modules, including:
- Finance Master Data
- Accounts Payable / Receivable (AP/AR)
- General Ledger (GL)
- Assets
- Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting
- Internal Orders and WBS structures
- Familiarity with S/4HANA and SAP migration tools and methodologies.
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis, mapping, and tracking.

- Capable of working independently in a remote, global team environment.
