Overview

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled and experienced Salesforce Technical Lead to join our team to manage the enterprise B2B Commerce platform based on Salesforce.com. This role will be responsible for translating complex product requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions on the Salesforce platform. You will collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams in an agile environment, guiding and mentoring a team of Salesforce Developers while ensuring adherence to best practices throughout all phases of development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, maintainable Salesforce.com solutions.
• Collaborate with offshore and onshore teams, including UI/UX Leads, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and Technical Architects.
• Mentor new team members, provide best practices for Salesforce.com configuration and development, conduct peer reviews of code, and create/update object schemas and queries.
• Evaluate user requirements in partnership with the Product Owner and engineering teams.
• Make recommendations for interacting with legacy systems and create design documents to illustrate software components.
• Read and interpret existing code bases and ensure quality and performance of solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in developing, administering and configuring Salesforce.com solutions.
• Experience in managing Salesforce Experience cloud and Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a must.
• Extensive experience in building webpages in VF Pages, Aura, LWC, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Proven experience working with both onshore and offshore teams.
• Proficiency with Salesforce.com objects, Apex, integration, data manipulation, and security.
• Strong background in designing, constructing, and deploying applications on the Salesforce.com platform.
• Experience with database design, database objects, and triggers, flows, batch processes.
• Familiarity with single sign-on, session management, user profiles, and authentication frameworks is a strong advantage.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Azure Repos, GitHub) and CI/CD (Azure Pipelines).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices and tools (e.g., Azure Boards, Jira).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision.
• Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment and stay current with rapidly changing technologies.
• Salesforce Certifications of Platform Developer I/II, Experience Cloud and Commerce Cloud are highly preferred.
