The Sales Director will report to the Managing Director, Mexico, and play an integral role in driving world-class account management initiatives by working closely with various merchants in collaboration with SharkNinja corporate teams (marketing, strategic sales, supply chain, customer service, and finance) to meet sales, profit, distribution, and digital goals.

The Sales Director is based in Mexico City, Mexico, and will have a hybrid work arrangement.

The Sales Director will have the autonomy to drive business growth and will be responsible for setting category growth targets to secure significant market share wins. Additionally, they will manage full P&L responsibilities across accounts for both brands and oversee several Key Account Managers focused on Mexico sales channels (e.g., club, department stores).

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate best-in-class account management operation plans, driving revenue and net margin growth to exceed goals.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans with clear pathways to achieve goals.
  • Act as the “business manager” for your accounts, including cross-functional leadership, financial analysis, and strategic thinking to achieve breakthrough results.
  • Manage customer profitability, develop quotes for new items, and oversee promotional spend within ROI targets.
  • Make critical decisions based on financial analyses, understanding drivers of contribution margin and profit.
  • Lead customer meetings, leveraging internal support, and drive strategy execution.
  • Ensure timely execution of milestones and maintain schedules for success.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize product flow and forecast cycles.
  • Report on POS, trends, and market factors impacting the business with Strategic Sales and Analytics teams.
  • Monitor competitive factors such as new products and promotions.
  • Lead and mentor sales teams, including Account Managers and Replenishment Managers.
  • Create development plans supporting team members’ career growth.
  • Be a leader within the Mexico office as the team expands on-site staffing.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of national account sales management or related experience working directly with retailers in buying or merchandising roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% to Needham, MA, trade shows, and customer meetings outside Mexico City.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret large data sets and generate management reports.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and under pressure.
  • Positive attitude towards change and adaptability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
