Position Title:

Gerente / Experto de ventas de campo.

Summary:

Responsible for managing the development and implementation of sales programs, policies, and procedures from a functional or technical perspective.

Reports to:

Typically reports to sales leadership or managerial roles.

Supervises:

Has formal managerial duties daily. Senior employees may guide peers or other roles formally or informally.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage personnel, including hiring, training, development, performance evaluation, compensation recommendations, and performance management; staff may range from operators/administrators to professionals/supervisors.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of sales and related functional programs to achieve operational results and future desired states, aligning leadership and resources, and ensuring effective execution.
  • Provide insights and advice on strategy development and alignment of sales programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage expectations of leaders, managers, staff, and operations; facilitate communication about customer needs and business requirements; establish performance metrics.
  • Resolve escalated operational and sales issues, working with internal teams or external agencies as needed.
  • Facilitate meetings and develop communications to give feedback on business and sales priorities, often involving complex or sensitive topics.
  • Develop and manage sales objectives, projects, or multi-functional programs, including budgets, timelines, materials, personnel, and other project requirements. Present information to management; manage moderate impact areas.
  • Ensure processes and operations comply with applicable laws, standards, and regulations; develop or recommend formal policies and procedures as needed.
  • Manage the team or area's budget, including resource allocation and expense approval.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding and implementation of sales programs, policies, procedures, and management principles. Familiarity with strategic initiatives in a matrix and global environment. Knowledge of project management methodologies focused on plan execution. Solid understanding of laws, standards, and regulations. Awareness of organizational influence, problem-solving, and resolution at strategic and functional levels. Knowledge of industry best practices. Ability to supervise and guide staff. Basic business administration and financial management principles.

Scope:

Manage limited scope programs or areas with significant impact, typically involving multiple disciplines or areas.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.

Language:

Advanced English, capable of delivering presentations, speeches, or courses.

Experience:

At least five years of experience, including leadership or supervisory roles; higher roles require at least eight years, including two years as an expert or executive.
