Applause Hiring Manager: Coleson Hofman, Director of Sales Development

Purpose: The role's purpose is to secure meetings with interested prospects via outbound cold calling and emailing. Expectations are 200+ calls and 25+ emails per day. This position is calling into the US market, so strong written/verbal English communication skills, awareness of US culture, and previous experience selling to businesses with a minimum of 10 employees are required.

Job Description:

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will create demos for our Account Executives (AE's) by making outbound phone calls and sending outbound emails to our lead lists.

Note: All applications must be submitted in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Use 80% of your time making outbound calls and outbound emails
  • Represent Applause with integrity and passion
  • Help cold prospects understand the value of Applause software
  • Set demos for interested prospects to meet with AE's
  • Call trade show attendees and encourage them to visit our booth


Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in outbound B2B SaaS
  • Previous experience successfully selling to companies with 10+ employees
  • Willing and able to make 200+ calls per day, and 25+ emails per day
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Familiarity with using sales CRMs (e.g., Hubspot or Salesforce)
  • History of meeting or exceeding SDR quotas and metrics
  • History of great time management skills and being efficient
  • Strong verbal communication skills and solid email communication skills
  • Can work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7am - 7pm EST
  • Great internet connection with zero noticeable latency
  • Very effective in a remote-work environment
