An automotive manufacturer located in Mexico is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. The role involves assessing crashworthiness performance, performing post-crash test analysis, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and be fluent in English. Proficiency in CAE and related software is preferred. This position offers the opportunity to engage in global Crash Safety forums.

Formación

  • Solid basis of mechanics engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of Finite Element Method.
  • Ability to interface with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Responsabilidades

  • Assess crashworthiness performance using CAE tools.
  • Perform post-crash test analysis for root cause identification.
  • Communicate summaries to engineers and Management.
  • Develop test methodologies for crash testing validation.

Qualifications

  • Solid basis of mechanics engineering.

  • Software: Altair Hyperworks (Hypermesh, Hypercrash, Hyperview, Hyperigraph), Catia or CAD software, Teamcenter, LSDYNA preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Assess crashworthiness performance for high speed crash test modes by means of CAE tools and physical tests.
  • Perform post-crash test analysis to identify issue root cause and enhance CAE correlation.
  • Interpret CAE/test results and produce concise summaries to be communicated to D&R engineers and Management.
  • Develop component and subsystem level test methodologies to validate designs in preparation for crash testing.
  • Support design progression with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Drive design changes to ensure Crash Safety compliance.
  • Perform optimization studies by means of CAE tools and 6-Sigma Methodology.
  • Support and lead technical meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Document lessons learned.
  • Participate in global Crash Safety forums.
