Wallenius Wilhelmsen in Toluca, Mexico is seeking a dedicated Industrial Safety Specialist to strengthen our safety culture. You will monitor accident rates, conduct training, and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, collaborating with clients and government authorities.

The role emphasizes risk assessments, incident reporting, PPE management, and supporting audits, KPI reporting, and the IMPACT program.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Civil Protection, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in Industrial Safety.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation control.
• Risk assessment and hazard prevention.
• Accident investigation and root cause analysis.
• PPE administration and management.
• Emergency response team management.
• Industrial safety training.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor workplace accident rates and safety KPI reports.
• Conduct safety training sessions and inductions.
• Manage safety and environmental compliance procedures with clients and authorities.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Record and follow up on unsafe acts and conditions.
• Develop safety procedures, manuals, and lessons learned.
• Implement and monitor the IMPACT program.
• Prepare KPI reports and trend analysis.

Follow up on Health and Safety activities and programs, fostering a strong safety culture and reducing workplace accidents through compliance with internal requirements.Job Descrptio:• Monitor and follow up on workplace accident rates.• Conduct safety training sessions and employee safety inductions.• Manage safety and environmental compliance procedures with clients and government authorities.• Support internal audits and provide assistance during external audits.• Monitor and ensure compliance with client requirements.• Support compliance with Safety 1st / WOW initiatives.• Support compliance with client requirements and specifications.• Support compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.• Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and annual safety KPI reports.• Collect and record safety monitoring data and perform trend analysis.• Support the closure of action plans aimed at risk prevention.• Develop safety procedures, manuals, LUPS (Lesson Learned / One-Point Lessons), and related documentation.• Implement and monitor the IMPACT program.• Support the preparation and reporting of KPIs.• Record and follow up on unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.• Support the completion of risk assessments.Job RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Civil Protection, or a related field.Knowledge:• Mexican STPS (Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare) regulations.• Risk assessment and hazard prevention.• Emergency response team (brigade) management.• Workplace incident and accident reporting.• Follow-up and closure of preventive and corrective actions.• Industrial safety training.• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) administration and management.• Knowledge of ISO standards (preferably ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).• Accident investigation and root cause analysis.• Credential and documentation control.• Standard transmission vehicle operation.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in Industrial Safety.Language Required: SpanishSchedule Availability: YesTravel Availability: NoWho We AreAt Wallenius Wilhelmsen, you'll join a global leader in shipping and logistics with more than 9,000 colleagues across 28 countries.
