Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Cloud/SRE Engineer for the GridOS Platform Engineering team to own the end-to-end cloud provisioning lifecycle for customer environments from Day 0 through Day 2 operations.

Based in Monterrey, you will collaborate with Platform SRE, Observability, DevOps and SecOps to ensure scalable, secure and cost-efficient SaaS infrastructure for US and international customers. The role requires 3–5 years in cloud infrastructure/SRE/DevOps, strong AWS experience (EC2, EKS, S3,

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps engineering roles.
• AWS experience with EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Organizations, Control Tower.
• Experience writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation or any programming languages like Python or Java.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines — GitHub Actions (GHA) and/or ArgoCD.
• Scripting fluency in Python and/or Bash for automation and operational tooling.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices: IAM least privilege, security group design, encryption at rest/in-transit.
• Exposure to FinOps concepts — cost allocation tagging, savings plans, Reserved Instances analysis.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Provision & Bootstrap: Own per-customer AWS account provisioning, automate bootstrap workflows with Terraform/AWS CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines, implement and maintain Cyber Guardrails, deploy cloud infrastructure baselines, configure DNS and cross-account trust.
• Deploy, Scale & Validate: Define sizing, scaling and SLO baselines, support progressive delivery pipelines, integrate observability hooks for new environments, assist with acceptance testing gates.
• Secure, Operate & Optimize: Drive FinOps practices, maintain cloud security posture, participate in on-call rotations, improve account automation with scripting, monitor FinOps KPIs.
