Placements24 is seeking an AI Developer with robotics specialization to join our engineering team in Acapulco, Guerrero. You will build intelligent control, perception, and decision‑making systems for next‑gen robots.

The role emphasizes hands‑on work with ROS, Gazebo, and real hardware, plus collaboration with hardware engineers. Requires 5+ years in AI for robotics and expert C++/Python skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Robotics, CS, EE or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional AI development for robotics.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS).
• Solid understanding of core AI concepts: ML, path planning, CV.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI algorithms for robot navigation, manipulation, and interaction.
• Implement and optimize perception systems using sensor data (cameras, LiDAR, IMU).
• Design and test control strategies and motion planning algorithms.
• Integrate machine learning models for enhanced robot autonomy and learning.
• Work with robotic simulation environments (ROS, Gazebo) and real robot hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and test designs.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code in C++ and Python.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex robotic and AI systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and technological advancements in robotics and AI.
• Contribute to project planning and technical documentation.
