Walmart de México y Centroamérica is seeking a Risk Leader for Marketplace Mexico to bring deep local market expertise in fraud trends, ecosystem risk, and seller integrity. You will bridge Mexico with our Global Risk organization, ensuring local needs are reflected in global strategies and roadmaps while driving implementation of risk initiatives in the market.

Formación

• Experience leading risk and fraud programs in marketplaces or eCommerce.
• Deep knowledge of Mexico/LATAM fraud trends, seller behavior, and regulatory context.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into roadmaps and requirements.
• Strong executive communication and cross‑functional leadership skills.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as Risk SME for Marketplace Mexico, with focus on local fraud, abuse, seller risk and Trust & Safety.
• Identify current and emerging risks, and market-specific opportunities.
• Represent Mexico with global Risk, Product, and Operations teams to influence roadmaps.
• Drive local adoption of global Risk strategies, policies and tooling.
• Facilitate two-way communication between Mexico and global teams and track impact.
• Monitor risk performance from rules, tools and initiatives deployed locally.
• Build relationships across functions and lead cross‑functional programs without direct authority.

Serve as the Risk leader for Marketplace Mexico, bringing deep local market expertise to identify and anticipate risks, fraud trends, and ecosystem-specific needs. Act as the bridge between Mexico and the Global Risk organization, ensuring local needs are reflected in global strategies and roadmaps, while driving the successful implementation of global Risk initiatives in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Risk subject matter expert for Marketplace Mexico, with a strong understanding of local fraud, abuse, seller risk, compliance, and Trust & Safety trends.
• Identify current and emerging risks, as well as market-specific opportunities and needs.
• Represent Mexico’s needs with global Risk, Product, and Operations teams, influencing roadmap and capability prioritization.
• Drive the local implementation and adoption of global Risk strategies, policies, tools, and capabilities.
• Establish effective two-way communication and ways of working between Mexico and global teams, ensuring visibility into priorities, plans, timelines, and business impact.
• Monitor Risk performance and business outcomes from rules, tools, and initiatives implemented in the market.
• Build strong relationships across Business, Operations, Product, Compliance, and Risk, leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority.

Profile

• Strong experience in Marketplace, eCommerce, Risk, Fraud, Trust & Safety, Seller Risk/Integrity, or Compliance.
• Deep understanding of the Mexico/LATAM ecosystem, including fraud trends, seller behaviors, regulatory requirements, and local risks.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
• Experience working in global/matrix organizations and influencing without direct authority.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.
• Proven experience leading cross‑functional programs.
• Advanced English.
