Purpose of the Job

As a Junior Benefits Analyst, you will support the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs for Labatt employees and retirees. This is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or professionals with less than 1 year of experience in Human Resources. You will collaborate with team members, vendors, and employees to ensure smooth benefits operations and a great employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Respond to employee and retiree questions related to benefits via tickets or email, providing clear and timely information.
  2. Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for all employees and retirees.
  3. Support communication and follow-up with external benefits vendors when questions or issues arise.
  4. Assist in managing taxable benefits such as: Beer Benefit, Insurance (Health, Life, Dental, LTD), and Car Benefit.
  5. Help employees navigate benefits platforms such as Workday, Flex Portal, Manulife, and Sun Life.
  6. Support the enrollment process for new employees and during annual enrollment periods.
  7. Assist with regular audits and help resolve recurring issues related to benefits or pensions.
  8. Collaborate with the Payroll and Rewards teams on topics like taxable benefits and pension-related matters.
  9. Help reconcile vendor payments and support related documentation.
  10. Support the distribution and tracking of Beer Cards and Beer Vouchers.
  11. Assist in other benefits-related tasks as directed by the Rewards Manager.

Required Skills

Education:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (recent graduates welcome).
  • Advanced conversational English level.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic Excel skills (advanced is a plus).
  • Comfortable using or learning systems like Workday and vendor portals.
  • Basic understanding of benefits or HR processes is an asset.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Eager to learn and take initiative.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented.
  • Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

  • Up to 1 year of internship or work experience in HR, Benefits, or related administrative roles.
