Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Store Manager to lead associates, assist customers, and drive store sales. You will oversee daily operations, develop your team, and uphold company policies while delivering an excellent shopping experience to customers in a fast-paced retail environment.

As the Store Manager, you will build relationships with the community and ensure compliance with laws and regulations, reporting to higher-level management and aligning with corporate directives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs (55 lbs occasionally).
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, push, pull and lift repetitively.

• Manage and oversee all aspects of business operations to maximize sales and profitability
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
• Lead, train, and develop store associates to foster a culture of growth
• Provide every customer with a positive and enjoyable shopping experience
• Safeguard the company’s assets
• Build strong relationships with the community by actively engaging in outreach and partnerships
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures
• Implement operational and merchandising direction that is communicated from our corporate headquarters

Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to focus on results and build strong relationships with team members is required
• Excellent communication skills are required
• Retail management experience is preferred
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. (occasionally 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height is required
• Ability to handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
