El Instituto de Materiales Avanzados para la Fabricación Sostenible invita a investigadores ambiciosos a postularse para el puesto de Investigador Profesor. Este rol implica desarrollar investigaciones de clase mundial en áreas como sistemas de control no lineales y robótica, contribuyendo a una economía neutra en carbono. Buscamos candidatos con un historial de excelencia en investigación y una red de colaboración bien establecida.

Formación

  • Experiencia en uno o más áreas como robótica, inteligencia artificial o ingeniería biomédica.
  • Historial de investigación lineal y publicación en revistas indexadas.
  • Dominio del inglés (mínimo nivel B2).

Responsabilidades

  • Desarrollar investigación interdisciplinaria en materiales avanzados.
  • Supervisar estudiantes de maestría y doctorado.
  • Colaborar en iniciativas de I+D patrocinadas por la industria.

Research Professor - Institute for Advanced Science and Sustainable Manufacturing (IAMSM)

The Institute of Advanced Materials for Sustainable Manufacturing (https://tec.mx/en/institute-advanced-materials-sustainable-manufacturing) has been created to research, innovate, and foster science and technological entrepreneurship in advanced materials, manufacturing processes, and technology platforms with the potential to transform the manufacturing industry.

Our mission is also to contribute to a carbon-neutral economy by discovering, developing, and creating advanced materials to achieve sustainable manufacturing.

The institute focuses on two main challenges:

  • Design advanced materials for different applications to contribute to a net-zero emission and zero carbon footprint.
  • Create and develop high-tech manufacturing processes and technological platforms to accelerate and rapidly scale up the production of advanced materials with minimum environmental impact.

The Institute invites ambitious researchers to apply for the Research Professor position to develop interdisciplinary research at world-class levels in the following areas (indicate the research areas or particulars of the project). This position is for a full-time contract.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Automatic Control, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or related fields.
  • We are especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas (adapt as needed based on your focus): Non-linear control systems Robotics and autonomous systems Computational vision and artificial intelligence Biomedical engineering and digital health Industry 5.0 and human-centered automation.
  • Proven research excellence, leadership potential, and a clearly defined research agenda aimed at producing high scientific, technological, or entrepreneurial impact.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed, Scopus-indexed journals h index 15 in Scopus.
  • Experience supervising Master’s and Ph.D. students.
  • Demonstrated involvement in the academic community through conference organization, participation in editorial boards, and peer-reviewing activities.
  • A well-established national and international collaboration network.
  • Previous involvement in relevant research or innovation projects, such as: International collaborations Research stays or postdoctoral fellowships Industry-sponsored R&D initiatives Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary environments.
  • Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level, CEFR).
