Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Shopify Developer to own themes, APIs, and enhancements for a high-visibility e-commerce platform. This full-time remote role is based in Mexico, offering significant ownership within a growing organization.

You will work with Marketing, IT, and Enterprise Systems to translate business needs into practical Shopify solutions, ensuring security, performance, and accessibility across desktop and mobile. You’ll guide platform capabilities and improvements as the Shopify SME.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience developing, maintaining Shopify stores or platforms.
• Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify themes, architecture, customization, and implementation.
• Experience developing Shopify APIs and integrations using GraphQL.
• Familiarity with GitHub and Shopify CLI and modern workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Shopify themes leveraging Liquid.
• Own technical requests from Marketing and IT and translate them into Shopify solutions.
• Ensure responsive design, accessibility, and full functionality across devices.
• Collaborate with IT and Enterprise Systems on security testing.
• Audit code for technical debt and optimization opportunities.
• Provide platform maintenance and security support including updates.
• Monitor functionality and preempt issues before they affect users.
• Provide guidance on Shopify administration and maintenance when required.
• Act as Shopify SME advising stakeholders on capabilities and approaches.
• Travel less than 5% when needed.
